Anti-capitalism on its own is not inherently left wing. It is quite compatible with reactionary ideology, using the logic that capitalism destroys the family and (macho) masculinity etc etc. Reactionary forces very often use anti-capitalist sentiment (anti-consumerism, anti-employer etc) and turn against marginalized groups. This is why Marxist analysis is important.
They dont have a party program yet. They might have a revolutionary position after the first conference. I think Corbyn’s base is quite radical
Maybe there are some disability advocacy orgs that can help? I assume you would need a substantial amount to pay lawyers.
on the contrary, chaos is great for implementing austerity
organise around a specific issue in your area
it depends. hierarchy is just a very abstract concept, so it is practically impossible to analyse + impossible not to have in a big enough org. most anarchists I talked to just focus on the state.
i have no idea what you mean by classic socialism
Anarchists are also socialists after all, so you will hear a similar rhetoric from them. The main difference is that for anarchists, state is the primary contradiction, rather than class.
happy bday!
He seems to be a bit more legit, if he actually manages to pass the policies he promises. But yeah the affiliation with the dems doesn’t help
There is a lot to be done. It’s not only about feeling good about protesting as an individual.
you’re a racist Islamophobic piece of shit. get lost
yeah and the labour party purged him and his supporters for being pro-palestine
thats literally been the case since like 1890s. social democrats supported the imperialist wars remember?
yeah exactly, it seems like things are not bad enough for unions to completely turn their back on the government and burn all bridges, same with greens and socialists
I did however like their wish to become a bit more radical with the protests because holding up some quirky signs every month will probably not save our rights and our own party is not doing much different (insert Lenin’s What To Do quote).
but isnt it more than just a protest, because its also a strike? the way to make it more radical would be to hold an indefinite strike, but that is something for the unions to decide
yeah i wont respond anymore to your ‘market place of ideas’ excuses
if its a truly democratic party, its program will reflect its base.
