I have to use Windows for work. A few days ago I pressed the button to update and shut down as I started preparing to leave. I went away for a bit and when I came back to get my stuff, the computer was back at the login screen. It updated and restarted. Windows really does do that. I hate it.

Throughout school I used to panic a couple days before the deadline that I had to get something done. I tried to work on the essays but didn’t manage to do anything and then got a lot calmer as I told myself that I’d easily have enough time if I started the next day. Then the next day came and I panicked again, until I ran some calculations in my head that I’d be able to make it if I started in the evening. And this continued through several cycles until I went into full panic and despair 30 minutes before the deadline.
I could rarely make it on time.
Somehow the closer I got to the deadline the less time it felt like the project would take. My procrastinative brain took over and made up excuses to not have to do it yet as there was still plenty of time. I almost failed 8th grade because of that. Fucking 8th grade. And I didn’t even relax while procrastinating!
Holy fuck that is long. When the documentation for the integer parsing function is 10 pages long, there’s something seriously wrong with the language

As much as I hate Elmo, I still value truth more. There is 0 evidence he’s behind that account. And given that the account claims to own Twitter (= claims to be Elmo), it’s far more likely to be a troll than a secret-but-not-secret account by the richest fuckface in the world

It’s very rare that an accident happens, and this can be seen in the statistics. If you’re curious how accidents do happen, check out Mentour Pilot’s videos on YouTube. I understand that being in control of a car feels safer but the statistics don’t lie.
Completely free. Kind of. It’s like less than €200 a year to study at a university in Finland.
I thought it was per liter and moved on to the comments but I now realize that that would’ve been even worse. Don’t really know what I was thinking, I can be stupid at times

As far as I know, for a device to trust it, it needs to be signed by a trusted CA. You’d either need to compromise a CA and create your own certificate for the website or make the target device trust a custom CA. In the case of a custom CA, the user explicitly needs to perform an action to trust it. How is this not enough on a public network?
