The transgressions are named in Amos 2:4-12; it’s the slavery, the way they treat the poor, the greed, and the incorporation of polytheistic practices like sacred prostitution.

Take away from me the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps. But let justice roll on like rivers, and righteousness like a mighty stream.
Amos 5:21;23-24

I downloaded the video, but it seems too heavy to be sent in Lemmy; if you know a good way to distribute the file, I’ll be happy to send it to you!

There was a shift in the 70s because plastic became easier to industrially use, and it replaced more sturdy materials like metal. And after that came the electronicization of production, now electronic is less durable then mechanic. The neoliberal revolution made the salaries grow slower than before. Add to that planned obsolescence… all that opened the way for cheaper and less reliable production. Every decade since produced less and less durable things… There’s a reaction now, but as the salaries are still low, it’s a hard fight.

It’s the same with mechanical typewriters: there are still new ones constructed and they are far from ugly; but if you want to actually use one, run far away and buy a vintage one.

I’m not him, but I agree with you :-)
Yes! And the story continues: according to a blogpost that Polt cites in his own, Mario Bellini cites the Adventure as an inspiration for his Olivetti Lettera 35. But it may have been a way for Bellini not to recognize his debt to Ettore Sottsass, the creator of the Valentine…
